Commentary
This Kannondo Avalokitesvara Hall was originally located in Kashiyabu, Konzoji-cho and transferred in 1937. It currently serves as an Ekodo Parinamana Hall to enshrine ashes and mortuary tablets, and equinox memorial services take place there. The Honzon (principal object of worship at a temple) is the statue of eleven-faced Avalokitesvara which is said to have been made by Chisho Daishi and is rarely shown to the public.
