Commentary
This is the Saisei Bridge. This bridge was built in 1978, along with the Shogaku West Gate of Zentsu-ji. Carved into the bridge’s parapets are the names of the eight founders of the Shingon sect of Buddhism expressed in bijaksara (seed mantra).
