Commentary
This is the Bell Tower. The bell is still being used today, and it is especially widely recognized in Kagawa prefecture as the bell that is rung on New Year’s Eve. It was presented to Zentsu-ji in 1978 by the religious service society Tokufukai to mark the 1150th anniversary of the death of Kobo Daishi (Kukai) in 1983.
