This is the Stone Monument to Honor Seven Loyal Retainers of Seisan Peasants’ Revolt in Kan’en era. They rose up in 1750 (Kan’en 3), ran riot and submitted appeal statements mainly in Marugame domain and Tadotsu domain. Later, they were executed. This stone monument is to praise their activities and to console the spirits of seven loyal retainers including Onishi Gonbee. It was built in 1923 (Taisho 12). It is said that Onishi submitted their appeal statements to Marugame domain here, in Zentsuji.
