Commentary
It was originally the private house of the general of the 11th Infantry Brigade. It was built in 1930 and is designated as a national registered tangible cultural property. Its external appearance with a Western-style house attached to a Japanese-style house is valuable as a fine example of residential construction combining Japanese and Western styles seen between the Taisho period and the early Showa period.
