Commentary
This is the Daishido (Hall for Kobo Daishi). This edifice is used for the veneration of Kobo Daishi, and it was established in 1816. Two wooden statues of Kobo Daishi that were built during the Edo period, as well as the Hiken Daishi Statue, which depicts the subject with sword in hand are venerated within this hall.
